Get Out the Vote!

Attend the Go Vote rally at the office on September 14 th . Share ideas about how to encourage people to vote and pick up What’s on Your Ballot? Talk with Board members. Spend a short time preparing voter registration materials. Distribute What’s on YOUR Ballot? to friends and neighbors. Take copies to book clubs, community events, etc. Check libraries for What’s on Your Ballot? and Fairfax Facts. Restock as needed or call the office, 703-658-9150, and let us know where more copies are needed.

Wear a VOTE button every day and discuss the importance of voting with others. Studies show that people tend to vote when others talk about voting with them.

Volunteer as a group to work at a community event or a voter registration event. Talk about the importance of voting with the people who stop by.

Read and Discuss the Preamble to the Constitution

Read and discuss the article about the Preamble to the Constitution. It will be included in the September VOTER.
